Thank you. My next question is for Ms. Piovesan. Earlier, you discussed creating a Canadian AI insurance market centred around responsible AI, in which we turn accountability into competitive advantage. Can you walk us through the use case for this insurance market? Also, based on what we just discussed about AI certification, does that play into the AI insurance market as well?

In the battery innovation road map, you also indicated, in addition to your 2025 pre-budget submission, that your main recommendation is for the Government of Canada to create a national battery alliance to support battery innovation and production. Why is a national battery alliance needed here in Canada?

May 7, 2026

The road map further notes: The global landscape of battery innovation is shaped by the strategic efforts of leading nations to advance their battery technologies and secure a dominant position in the market. Countries like China, the United States, the European Union, South Korea, and Japan have set ambitious production and innovation targets to drive their battery industries forward. Given

Thank you, Mr. Chair. Thank you to all the witnesses for being here today. My first question is for Mr. Jahangir. You mentioned the need for a skills development and certification pathway for AI. How do you envision the rollout of these certifications? Are you picturing something like the Oracle or Cisco certifications?

To follow up on that, your last point was about positioning Canada's brand in AI safety. If you were the marketing manager for this brand, what would you do to launch this strategy? What are we selling, and who are we selling it to?

Thank you very much.

May 7, 2026

Related to that, what existing strengths or advantages can Canada leverage to succeed in the global battery market?

May 7, 2026

Thank you, Mr. Chair. My questions will go to Mr. McKinnon. I'll refer to the battery innovation road map that was released by your organization. In the road map, your organization outlines “a strategy to establish Canada as a global leader in battery technology by 2035”. How does this road map align with the Government of Canada's EV strategy and overall goals for net-zero emissions?

May 6, 2026

That's great. I agree with that. Leading to that, as a follow-up, you mentioned having this other organization to.... Is it managing this project? Who is accountable for delivering this project? Is it Dayforce? Is it the government? This question is for Deputy Minister Reza.

May 6, 2026

I'd like to follow up on that point. Is Dayforce doing the delivery, or is there another third party system integrator that's doing the work?
