What They Voted On

Mr. Speaker, we request it be carried on division, please.

What This Vote Is Really About

This vote is about Bill C-244. This proposed law wants to make our coasts safer and cleaner. It will update rules about pollution and deal with old, dangerous ships that are left in our waters. Right now, a group of politicians (a committee) is looking closely at this proposed law. They are checking if it's good and if it needs any changes. This vote is about how they want to move forward with their work on the bill. Citizens should care because this law could help protect our oceans, lakes, and rivers. It could stop pollution and clean up dangerous ships that hurt the environment and make our waters unsafe. It's about keeping Canada's beautiful coastlines healthy for everyone.
