Carney to appoint senior Liberal strategist to the Senate

Mark Carney is appointing Tom Pitfield, a senior Liberal strategist and key advisor to the Prime Minister, to the Senate. Pitfield also played a big role in Canada's artificial intelligence plans, so his move to the Senate brings important experience to that chamber.
