Thank you, Madam Chair. Welcome back, everyone, for the fall session. My question is for Mr. Larsen. Your association has called on the government to move quickly on the external advisory panel's recommendations, given the financial challenges facing university presses. What are those challenges? How do they affect the French-language and bilingual presses?

On the report's recommendations on scholarly publishing, which would have the greatest impact on your members and which should the government implement first?

Thank you very much. The report proposes a national translation program for scholarly books, with up to 20 grants a year, compared with the five translation grants available today. What difference would that make for your members and for the visibility of research in French?

Thank you. The basic grant under the awards to the scholarly publications program has stayed at $8,000 since 2006. The report recommends raising that to $12,000 and reserving two grants a year for French-language and bilingual presses in minority settings. How would these changes help process publishing in French?
